Statement by The Sharing Group regarding the bankruptcy involving We Drive Solar

The Sharing Group regrets the news of the bankruptcy of the production and development companies behind We Drive Solar’s charging stations. This is, first and foremost, deeply regrettable for the employees and other parties involved.

The Sharing Group has a strategic partnership with We Drive Solar focused on the application of bidirectional charging within the mobility and energy activities of The Sharing Group and its subsidiaries MyWheels and Hegg Energy. Neither We Drive Solar nor its affiliated companies are portfolio companies of The Sharing Group.

We Drive Solar’s V2G activities are not part of the bankruptcy and will continue. In this context, We Drive Solar has stated that its V2G charging solutions and related services offered in partnership with Renault will remain available. At present, there is therefore no reason to believe that the bankruptcy will affect our ongoing services.

The Sharing Group remains fully committed to vehicle-to-grid technology and to the continued realisation of our V2G ambitions. V2G will continue to play an important role in our growth strategy and in our vision for a smarter, more flexible mobility and energy system.
